Tremont Temple Baptist Church, Macon, Georgia, is seeking a Minister of Music who will provide strong leadership to carry out the mission of music ministry through Christian teaching, the gospel of Jesus Christ, encouraging Christian living, and nurturing our members through Christian fellowship. This is a contract (1099) position.

A successful candidate will meet the following criteria:

• Lead all aspects of music ministry  
• Collaborate with praise and worship team to enhance the worship experience.
• Lead congregation in praise and worship through music, incorporating both contemporary and traditional styles

• Demonstrated experience in leading and teaching choir/praise team
• Set and meet goals applicable to the Minister of music; coordinate a variety of musical styles and forms for worship
• Give clear and concise direction to the praise and worship team/choir
• Play for all services of the Church, inclusive of, but not limited to services
• held at the church
• Participate in annual Church Fellowship Days, Church Anniversary, Pastor’s Anniversary, Tremont Revivals, Funerals when requested.  Mandatory leadership for morning and afternoon services, as well as afternoon and evening away services.
• Coordinate and conduct no less than one choir rehearsal per week. Teaching of traditional and contemporary song selections. Preparation for the coming week’s worship celebration is mandatory,
• Coordinate with the Pastor and praise/choir director for music required for special worship celebrations and other church services.
• Collaborate with praise/choir director to perform two major musical productions annually (during Easter and Christmas.)

Qualifications:

• The character and conduct of the Music Director should reflect the highest
• professional standards of the Christian faith and practice
• Proficient musician with a strong vocal ability and instrumental skills

• Deep understanding and appreciation for intergenerational worship
• Strong communication skills to effectively lead and engage the congregation during worship services
